Help

Are you looking for God’s simple plan of redemption?  If you believe the Bible to be true, you’ve come to the right place.

The inspired scriptures are a unified story that help us all come to have deeper faith and a meaningful relationship with God and Jesus through faith, obedience and discipleship.

The Bible starts in a garden with a narrative that describes God’s plan for mankind.  An eternal relationship built on love and trust.  It’s the same relationship He wants with you.  Unfortunately, mankind didn’t trust that God’s wisdom and plan had man’s best interest at heart.  After sin entered the world through this broken trust, God has spent all the time from that time until the present moment to bring people back to Him.

The beautiful story we read throughout the Old Testament (or what some call the Hebrew Scriptures) concludes with prophecies about God sending His Son Jesus to restore this relationship.  When Jesus came on the scene, He set a perfect example of love, trust and service.  This lifestyle is one that serves us still today.

Starting in the gospel, Jesus lays out a way of life that brings all people to the Father.  Through parables (earthly stories with heavenly meanings), literal examples and miracles, Jesus helps us to see the value of living a life of service, kindness and justice.

Eventually, His example and teaching put Him at odds with the rulers of His day and He was crucified.  You can read about this at the end of each of the gospel accounts.  However, the good news is that even though mankind had Jesus put to death, the power of God was seen in the resurrection.  Jesus conquered the grave and is still alive and well today.

People in the first century saw this act of God first hand.  Peter preached to them about it in the book of Acts.  This book speaks to the history of God’s church.  After the guilty parties heard the truth and believe it, Peter was confronted with the question, “What must we do to be saved?”

His response was as simple as our’s should be today.  “Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)

This life changing instruction has been followed for thousands of years now and is as true today as it was then.  That’s where our story begins but not where it ends.  After submission to these instructions, the lifestyle to follow is one that requires love, discipline and sacrifice.
